Apply now to become an ACONA Fellow! The Arms Control Negotiation Academy (ACONA) is a 12-month, high-level professional development program for a competitively selected cohort of rising international security experts and practitioners. Fellows earn a Certificate in Arms Control Negotiation and join a global alumni network.

Please upload your CV/resume (max. 5 pages) and your motivation letter (1-2 pages) in PDF format. 

In your letter, please state that you have reviewed the curriculum and requirements, confirm that you intend to participate in all parts of the 12-month ACONA program, including adherence to a camera-on-policy during all virtual, interactive sessions of the boot camps, and explain what you would bring to the ACONA community.

The recommendation letter must be submitted directly by the recommender (not by the applicant) to ACONA. The recommendation letter should be saved as "[Applicant Last Name] [Recommender Last Name] Recommendation.pdf" and emailed to the ACONA Secretariat (acona[at]armscontrolnegotiationacademy.org). 
ACONA fellows represent various political viewpoints and backgrounds. An open mindset is required and disagreements must be voiced respectfully.
The ACONA bootcamps & ACONA Conference Reykjavik will happen on the following dates:
August 18-22, 2025 (virtual)
January 26-30, 2026 (virtual)
May 18-22, 2026 (in Iceland)
