Kolfinna Tomasdóttir Profile

Kolfinna is Co-Founder and Director of AiXist, whose work explores the implications of artificial intelligence for weapons of mass destruction, non-proliferation and international security. She also leads Kveikja, Iceland's European Digital Innovation Hub at the Icelandic Centre for Research. A PhD student in law, her research focuses on the legal, ethical, and societal implications of artificial intelligence. She serves on the board of Women in International Security (WIIS) Iceland, is a founding member of the Global Youth Security Council and a One Young World Ambassador. In 2025, she was the Icelandic finalist in the Nordic Women in Tech Awards' Rising Star category.
