Maha Asserhan
Senior Nuclear Engineer, Jordan Atomic Energy Commission (JAEC)

Maha As Serhan is a Senior Nuclear Engineer and Nuclear Security Officer at the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission, with over 13 years of experience in nuclear safeguards and Nuclear Security, Risk assessment. She holds a B.Sc. in Nuclear Engineering from Jordan and an M.Sc. in Nuclear Security from Bulgaria. Maha served as Chief Research Investigator for an IAEA Coordinated Research Project (CRP), pioneering risk assessment methodologies against drone threats to critical installations and coordinating high-level multi-agency national security initiatives. Her peer-reviewed research is published in Elsevier's Progress in Nuclear Energy. Recently, she was selected as a 2026–2027 Arms Control Negotiation Academy (ACONA) Fellow.
