External Relations Officer, Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization
Maria coordinates advocacy and disarmament cooperation projects for Eastern Europe, Russia, and Central Asia at the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO). She works on advancing the prohibition of nuclear testing, NPT, disarmament youth education and sustainable development for disarmament. From 2011 to 2017, Maria served at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), leading the Helsinki+40 Working Group on the Future of the OSCE and subsequently as the first-ever female Advisor to the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. Maria holds a PhD in International Relations from the MGIMO University and is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris. Maria has authored papers on strategy and cooperation issues, and has written extensively on Central Asia.
