Natalia Peshkova is a peace and security professional deployed to the UN peacekeeping mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Natalia serves as OiC Team Leader, supervising a team of UN police and military staff officers, ensuring 24/7 situational awareness and crisis coordination. Previously, as a Political Affairs Officer with the UN peacekeeping mission in the Central African Republic, she supported the implementation of the Political Agreement, helped establish local mediation mechanisms and led reconciliation and stabilization initiatives. Her broader experience spans the fields of peacebuilding and human rights, including roles with the UN System Staff College, OSCE ODIHR and OHCHR. Natalia is an Erasmus Mundus scholar and alumna.
