Tarryn Warries is an Assistant Director at South Africa’s Department of International Relations and Cooperation, with over a decade of experience in multilateral diplomacy, international security and negotiation. She has represented South Africa in domestic and international processes on conventional arms control, disarmament, non-proliferation and counter-terrorism. Her broader work includes negotiations across the G20, United Nations and UNESCO. She completed the Women’s Scholarship for Peace in Disarmament and Non-Proliferation Education and the Global Leadership Programme at KDI School in Seoul. She holds postgraduate qualifications in International Affairs, specialising in Security Studies, and Diplomacy.
