Valeriia Gergiieva, PhD in Political Science, is a Researcher at the Odesa Center for Nonproliferation (OdCNP). From October 2026, she will serve as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy (IFSH) at the University of Hamburg, contributing to the “Arms Control and Emerging Technologies” project, where she previously held a fellowship. In 2019, she was a Visiting Fellow at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) in Monterey. She is Vice-President of the Black Sea Women in Nuclear Network and leads the “Black Sea Experts NucTalks” webinar series. She is also a member of ELN’s Young Generation Leadership Network.
