Anne Runhaar holds a Master's degree in International Politics and International Law from the University of Kiel, specialising in maritime affairs. She worked at the Institute for Security Policy at the University of Kiel (ISPK), where she is co-editor of the book Maritime Strategy and Security Challenges in South America. She is currently working on her doctoral thesis on the impact of climate change on Arctic security policy. She regularly shares her expertise through academic publications and speaking engagements, including events held by the German Armed Forces and international conferences in Svalbard.
