Jan Quosdorf Profile

Jan Quosdorf is a graduate student at the University of Hamburg’s Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy (IFSH), specializing in nuclear deterrence, alliance politics, arms control, and East Asian security. He serves as Project Director of the Arms Control Negotiation Academy (ACONA) at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF). Additionally, he consults on a joint project mapping arms control education in Europe, led by the VCDNP and UNODA. Previously, he researched dual-use technologies at Helmut-Schmidt-University, applied foresight methods to existential threats at BASIC, and managed communications for the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP). His work has been published with the Council on Geostrategy, BASIC, and the Tsinghua International Relations Review. Jan has studied at the University of Goettingen, Tsinghua and Peking University, and King’s College London, and holds a B.A. in East Asian Studies and Political Science, an M.A. in International Affairs, and is completing a second M.A. in Peace and Security Studies.
