Dr. Sascha Hach is a Researcher at the University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg. His research interests include European security, disarmament and arms control, France, and the United Nations. He is an Associate Researcher at the Leibniz Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF), where he previously also served as Managing Director of ACONA. He received his Ph.D. from Goethe University Frankfurt in 2024 and taught at the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich from 2019 to 2026. Prior to his academic career, he worked several years for NGOs and in the German Bundestag. He is a co-founder of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) Germany, which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017.
